Such a unique and fun ring for such an amazing couple. This ring started off with a request to make the Sophie engagement ring and blossomed into an entirely new piece. It went through quite a few evolutions but there are still aspects of the Sophie ring that can be noticed in Alka’s. For example, the double round prongs on the center diamond, the overall low profile of the ring, the cocktail inspiration, and most importantly the extra thick prongs that act as little gold beading weaving between each stone.

What sets this ring apart though is the stunning sapphires around the center diamond. Alka made this ring entirely her own by incorporating gemstones into the piece and I love it. The blue sapphires might be what catches your eye, if only to help you notice the gorgeous diamond in the center. I will never think sapphires are a bad addition to a design but I especially love the contrast it creates on a diamond engagement ring. As regal as this ring is, the low profile and domed head allow for everyday, snag-free wear.
