A very special engagement ring for Marissa. For this ring, I worked with her fiance to design a ring around his heirloom diamond. This beautiful marquise diamond belonged to his mother. He really liked the overall look of Maria’s ring so I took elements of hers and transformed the design to work with his marquise. Maria’s ring is an old mine cut cushion with half round sides so it has an overall roundness to it. To match the angularity of the marquise, I chose Cadillac cuts for the sides. Cadillac cuts are a favorite side stone shape of mine because they work so well with pointed stones while adding so much visual interest.
