Ali’s Wedding Band Remake

Ali brought me her grandma’s beautiful but beat up wedding band looking to refresh it for her own impending nuptials. She had the wonderful idea to split the diamonds up between a wedding band for herself and a necklace for her mother. First, her mother’s necklace was made by melting down the gold from the band and reworking it into the white gold setting it is now. Then two of the original diamonds were set into the new necklace to give it the look it has now.

Next, Ali’s wedding ring was made. I took the three remaining stones and found three more vintage cut stones to match. Ali was looking to make her band in 18k yellow to match her engagement ring. Bringing inspiration from her grandma’s ring, we went for the same style but with six stone to crate a full coverage band. This was such a sweet idea of Ali’s to split up this heirloom into two pieces so her and her mother could share the joy of wearing something so sentimental.
