This pendant was made for a customer’s mother out of an existing pendant she graciously gave her to make into a wedding band. The original design had a diamond studded heart surrounding this beautiful marquise. We took the diamonds out to use them for a 3/4th eternity band. The original necklace had very strong sentimental value to the mother and for this reason her daughter decided to use the center ruby to make a simplified pendant to gift back to her. This was done by sawing off the remaining gold, shaping it, and soldering on a bale. I really appreciate how his project was able to change so much of an old necklace but hold onto the base design. A great way to keep the sentimental value while freshening up the look.
